Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Norton is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Norton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Massachusetts's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I bought a packet of Livingston bountiful Bush Beans from Loweβs. The germination rate was roughly only 10%, if that wasnβt bad enough, once they started growing, it became clearly evident that these were pole beans, not bush beans. The bed I have them in is msde for bush, not pole- I have no way to support these beans in the location they are in without adding substantial cost and effort so instead I have to pull these beans and start over. Wonβt ever buy this brand again.

Got 7 seed packs of corn, 2 were bicolor and 4 were jubilee ...both were sweet corn. Planting them on staggered times so as not too cross pollinate...planted on the correct soil temps, depth and water conditions... maybe 70% germinated in all likely hood and without counting it's around 50% Likewise, I planted their crooked neck squash seeds ...they were definitely cross-pollination seeds before I put the in the ground...they had a good germination rate but some were orange and hard as a rock like gourds and some were like yellow and tender like regular squash...those seeds made up a bunch of Frankenstein plants.. Never again with this outfit....low germination rates and they let stuff get cross pollinated

Decided to try Livingston seeds after all these years of gardening because I was at Farm and Fleet in March 2025 and they were there so I decided to go for it. Sad to say after buying over $100 worth many packets were empty, some only had a couple in it, and the tomatoes, zucchini, all squash, peppers, onions, and a few others did not come up at all and the ones that did are lagging like nothing I seen before. We have not changed our process at all and tested our soil just to see and there is no reason we shouldnβt have a bounty full garden.

Purchased bush bean seeds May 2025. Very specifically needed bush beans.... very few germinated (i have NEVER had issues getting green beans to grow!) And they are ALL pole beans. I triple checked the package and they are absolutely listed as bush beans. Very frustrating. Will never buy again after reading the reviews!
